Is Now a Good Time to Get Involved in Network Marketing with the coronavirus?

It’s funny how all my network marketing friends are touting what a great time it is to be in the industry. From personal experience, I have found that network marketing does much worse in bad economic times, but usually only early on (within the first year of a recession). I’m basing this on when I first started in the industry in 2004 my worst years in the industry were from 2008 to around the beginning of 2010 (the worst and longest recession since the Great Depression). Here is why I believe it is not a good time to get involved in the industry at least not from an opportunity perspective. When you have high unemployment and especially a worldwide government shutdown (something none of us has experienced in our lifetimes) you lose the backbone of network marketing (the 9 to 5 folks who are dependent on a paycheck who fuel the industry). They are the ones paying your monthly auto ships and allowing you to make most of your money from the commissions of sales of your product/services. I think that it will be a much better time to join and get started in 3 to 6 months following all the government shutdowns from the coronavirus when people realize that we are not all going to die.

You would think because more people are available to join at the moment, that business would be booming, but if people don’t have accessible money to participate it eliminates people joining and staying in your business. You wouldn’t open a business without being properly funded no matter how much it costs? Everyone thinking of joining a network marketing company must-have enough disposable money to pay for their product/service, and on-going marketing expenses (this is not employment or a job). Think of it more like being a realtor, you will need money to live on and support your business while you are building the business (no different if you were a realtor with Century21, Harcourts, or Remax Realty Companies). You need to really understand that this is a business and not a job. If you need immediate cash flow, you will be much better off doing instacart, Door Dash, Wag, Uber, or selling items in your home on eBay or any of the other gig type jobs that pay out daily or weekly. So look at your bank account. If you don’t have at least enough money in the bank to build your business for 90 days (products, services, and income coming in to pay your living expenses) you’re not in a position to do network marketing or really any business for that matter unless you want to gamble and take out a loan (highly don’t recommend and unless you have successful previous experience). Also, you will struggle in network marketing if you don’t already have previous sales, marketing or business experience. You get paid to only really do 2 things in network marketing – sell products, services, and recruit others to duplicate you as a distributor which will require the ability to be persuasive when you talk to others.

I’m not saying it’s not possible to do network marketing in the middle of a worldwide pandemic and pending recession – it’s probably just not the best time to get started. Honestly, having never built a network marketing company in the middle of a pandemic and government shutdown – I’m not even sure if it’s possible. If you don’t have any of the above-mentioned skills or you are new to the business you might be better served by just becoming a customer with a company with products you love and slowly in your spare time begin referring others to your business as you begin to have a good experience with the products/services.

With that being said I think network marketing will always be a good option for certain types of individuals and it’s still one of the best ways I have ever found over the years to create passive residual income, but unfortunately, it’s not as easy as it appears and sometimes timing the launch of your business will be pivotal to your success.

The Benefits of CBD Oil

I’ve recently stumbled across a number of companies selling CBD Oil. Many at my local Farmers Market and others online. I’ve personally, always thought that nature has a lot more cures for ailments then man can get from a pill that’s made in a lab. I’ve read about the many health benefits of taking CBD Oil and just finally started trying it out for myself, but before I get into the health benefits, let me just state that I am by no mean promoting recreational drug use in this article. In fact, there is a big difference between THC found in Marijuana and CBD also found in Marijuana. THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is the main drug that is found in Marijuana that alters your mind or is associated with getting high. CBD on the other hand does not get you high.

CBD Oil is made by extracting cannaboids from the marijuana plant and diluting it with coconut of hemp oil.

It’s gaining popularity in the health & wellness world with scientific proof showing that it does aid in helping anxiety and chronic pain.

Can Relieve Chronic Pain – Marijuana has been used to relieve pain for many years going back to as far as 2900 B.C. The human body contains a specialized system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is involved in regulating a variety of functions including sleep, appetite, pain and immune system response. The body actually produces endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system. Studies have shown that CBD may help reduce chronic pain by impacting endocannabinoid receptor activity, reducing inflammation and interacting with neurotransmitters (Trusted Source 1).

Several human studies have found that a combination of CBD and THC is effective in treating pain related to multiple sclerosis and arthritis.

Could reduce Anxiety & Depression – Anxiety and Depression are serious ailments that can wreak havoc on our overall health & well being.

According to the World Health Organization, depression is the single largest contributor to disability worldwide, while anxiety disorders are ranked sixth (Trusted Source 2).

Anxiety and depression are usually treated with pharmaceutical drug which can cause a number of side effects from insomnia, suicidal thoughts, sexual disfunction, etc…

CBD Oil has now become a treatment for both depression and anxiety. And many are finding great benefits from using it on a regular basis.

Using CBD has shown to help anxiety and depression in both human and animal studies. And research has shown that CBD Oil increases seratonin in patients brains, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood and social behavior.

Can Alleviate Cancer Related SymptomsCBD Oil may help reduce nausea, vomiting, and pain associated with cancer and cancer treatments.

One study looked at the effects of CBD and THC in 177 people with cancer-related pain who did not experience relief from pain medication.

Those treated with an extract containing both compounds experienced a significant reduction in pain compared to those who received only THC extract (Trusted Source 3).

CBD may also help reduce chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, which are among the most common chemotherapy-related side effects for those with cancer (Trusted Source 4).

Though there are drugs that help with these distressing symptoms, they are sometimes ineffective, leading some people to seek alternatives.

Could Benefit Heart Health

CBD’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidative properties may be able to reduce risk factors that can lead to heart disease, like high blood pressure. It may also be able to reduce the risk of related conditions, like stroke

High blood pressure can be serious and is tied to hypertension in the heart. Research does imply that CBD can lower your blood pressure.

Heart disease can also help increase your chances for a stroke. Research also shows that CBD Oil can reduce could help reduce strokes. A 2017 Review (Trusted Source 5) also concluded that CBD increased cerebral blood flow during a stroke. However, it’s important to note that these reviews focused on animal studies. More research is needed to determine whether these findings also apply to humans.

How to use CBD Oil – CBD comes in many forms from vaping, candy (like gummy bears), oil form in a dropper, and skin creams. I think the most popular way to take it is by dropper under the tongue.

CBD Oil is not currently regulated by the FDA. There are several reputable companies that sell it. One of the companies I have gotten involved with known as OWN has a very affordable product that you can get that can be mailed directly to your mailbox or doorstep. The Top 10 Things to do in Terceira Portugal

I’ve been working from home for several years now and one of my favorite things to do when I have the money and the time is to go on an adventure (vacation).  Sometimes that adventure includes a weekend getaway to Los Angeles or Palm Springs or a week in San Francisco.  This past week I was fortunate enough to take a trip to The Azores Islands in Portugal and spend a week on the island of Terceira.

Terceira is the 2nd most populated city island in The Azores and has some amazing sites and things to do.  I felt like a week was plenty of time to see and pretty much do everything and if you’re traveling here from The USA you be amazed at how affordable everything is compared to back home.  I rented a car for a week for $50 my hotel was included in my airfare and included a comped breakfast every morning.  Most of the meals for my fiance and I were around $10 for lunch and $20 to $25 for dinner at nice restaurants.  And the meals were fantastic – mostly.  I think we fell in love with The Portuguese Cuisine especially all of the different soups we got to try (she fell in love with all the cheese as there are more cows than people on the island).  You can’t beat the wine prices running anywhere from a $1 to $3 dollars a glass in most restaurants on the island.  So my advice is to get a rental car and make sure to have some Euros on you for the week to pay for all of your food.

Here are the top 10 things to do while visiting Terceira.  Keep in mind that we went in off season (winter) so all of the things I am recommending are things that we did and did not include any swimming or laying on the beach as the temperatures were mostly in the mid 50 to mid 60’s while visiting.

Enjoy a view and Hike of Mt. Brasil – A viewpoint that seems to go out into the ocean outside Angra do Heroísmo, most of the Monte Brasil peninsula has been designated as a natural reserve.  The remains of a long-extinct volcano, the peninsula are covered in a thick forest that’s full of flowers in spring and has a hiking trail that leads to the summit and viewpoint. You can also drive there if it’s muddy underfoot, or you didn’t pack your walking shoes.

At the top, you’ll find stunning views, along with a large memorial cross commemorating the discovery of the island in 1432, and a few decommissioned artillery pieces courtesy of the nearby São João Baptista fort.  At the top, you will also find a few short and nice hikes that allow you to take in some of the scenery.

The fort is still occupied by the Portuguese army, as it has been since the early seventeenth century, and there are guided tours if you prefer to go with a guide vs. on your own.  You may also see a few motorcyclists as it seemed like a popular place for dirtbikes.

Walk inside an Extinct Volcano – Probably one of the biggest highlights of our trip was walking inside the Algar do Carvão Cave.  It’s about a 20-minute drive from most of the major cities on the island and it is quite spectacular.  The main site will lead you into a cave that drops down about a 150 feet to a rain dripping lagoon.  It’s pretty amazing and you will not want to miss this.  After you do this hike if you are up for it, I recommend going down the road a few miles to another cave that is also formed by lava, but more rugged and deeper horizontally vs. vertically.  Both caves cost us around $9 each, but if you are limited on time or funds just do the first one for $6 as that was definitely my favorite of the 2 caves.  It seemed like they were only open from 2 to 5:30 and you will need around 30 minutes at each cave.  You can check their website for times and more information.

Explore the Popular city of Angra do Heroísmo – One of the oldest cities in The Azores it’s the capital and probably where most of the tourists base themselves as there are many wonderful hotels and places to stay. The town center was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983, and a few minutes spent exploring the beautiful, brightly-colored buildings makes it easy to see why.  There are some amazing sites from churches to older buildings, restaurants, shops, and a small harbor with a beach.  Be sure to take a walk, but beware parking can be a bit difficult at times as it does get busy during working hours and you have to pay for parking between 8 AM and 6 PM although $1 Euro will get you a few hours.   We didn’t know until after a few days that we didn’t have to feed the meter after 6, so we probably wasted at least a few euros on parking – haha.

Go for a stroll in The Duque Da Terceira Garden  –  Inside the city of Angra do Heroísmo there is a beautiful botanical garden with lots of trees and plants from all over the world. If you’re tired from walking in the city this may be a nice resting place as there are many park benches.  You will also find many frogs in the ponds and birds cohabiting this place – definitely a serene place to spend an hour during your holiday.

Museu de Angra do Heroismo – This museum is amazing.  Honestly, I didn’t expect much as it was only $2 Euros per person to enter, but boy was I wrong.  We went on a rainy day towards the end of our trip and I would recommend that you save this towards the end as it will be more captivating for you and make more sense.  There are 3 levels of the museum and you get to go inside a church that was built in the 1600s (See Picture).

The Wine Museum –  Surprising for an island chain in the middle of the Atlantic.  This is located just a few miles (about 10 to 15-minute drive) North from Angra.  They have a pretty good local wine scene on The Azores due to its fertile rocky volcanic soil and mild year-round temperatures.  They are mostly known for their white wines as I didn’t encounter any red wines from The Azores at least on Terceira.  But be sure to visit the Wine Museum as it is a family run vineyard that has been run by multiple generations since its beginning in 1900. The tours typically take around 25 minutes and at the end, you can sample some of their wines and maybe even purchase a bottle or two to enjoy on your vacation.

Visit Serra de Santa Bárbara –  A few miles up from the wine museum you can drive up to the top of Serra de Santa Bárbara.   The views from the top are spectacular and quite amazing.  As with other viewpoints on the island if it is cloudy as it was when we went up there you may find it difficult to see much of anything, but still worth the drive up as they have a nice visitor center at the top with lots more information about the island.  They also have some tasty Azores ice cream inside the visitor center.  Unfortunately, since it was cloudy on the day we went up I didn’t include any pictures.

Take A Road Trip Around The Island – The island is pretty small and I would highly recommend you take a road trip around the island and visit some of the small towns like Boscoitos, São Sebastião, Port Martin, and attractions like The Lighthouses, parks, and swim holes along the way.  Depending on how many times you stop you can probably do the entire island in a few hours in a rental car.  If you don’t have a car I’m pretty certain they have a tour bus that will take you around.

Drive to The Top of Serra Do Cume – You don’t want to miss this one.  This is on the east side of the island and sits around 1800 feet above sea level.  Here you will find spectacular views of the farmland and coastland of much of Terceira.  Unfortunately, just like Serra de Santa Bárbara your experience will depend on the weather.  Luckily, it was pretty clear the day we went up there.  I would recommend doing it on a partly cloudy or sunny day vs. a rainy one.

This is a must do and you will not be disappointed.

Rocha Do ChombraTerceira offers many excellent hikes and if you are in pretty good shape like myself I highly recommend that you do the 9KM hike at Rocha do Chombra.  If you are going alone as we did, be sure to bring some good hiking shoes, a camera, and even some walking sticks.  It says on Google that it takes around 2 hours in 30 minutes to complete, but it took us around 3 hours.  If you are not an experienced hiker you can get a guide to take you on this amazing trek.  You really don’t want to miss this one either.

These are the top 10 things I did while I was on the island, but there are many more things that I did and even took in a music gig at a local restaurant A Minha Casa that I highly recommend visiting.   Also be sure to visit the 2nd largest city on the island Prainha da Praia da Vitória where there are many great hotels, restaurants, beaches and a movie theater with $1 popcorn.

Also if you are looking for some great places to eat here is a short list of some of my favorite restaurants we ate at.

  • Tasca Das Tias (be sure to get their tuna and almond pie)
  • Captains Table (my fiance said they had the best bolognese spaghetti she had ever had in her life and the best house wine that I had on the island).
  • Restaurante do Porto dos Biscoitos  (2nd Best soup on the island).
  • Pedregulho (Best steak sandwich and #1 Soup on the island).
  • A Canadinha (We had dinner here 2 times very affordable with $1.25 Euros house wine and some amazing pickled pork – a must).
  • Queijo Vaquinha – The oldest Cheese Factory in Terceira. (I’m personally not a cheese lover, but my fiance is and she loved her cheese plate.  I will say the fig honey is amazing).
  • A Minha Casa (affordable and very cute.  Has tasty hamburgers and live music).

5050 Crowdfunding – Shocking Truth – Scam or Legit?

I recently was introduced to new business from a friend of mine called 5050 Crowdfunding.  I was curious what it was all about, not that I wanted to do it myself, but just always curious to what business opportunities are available, so I can either recommend them or review them.  Personally, I don’t get involved in too many businesses as I honestly don’t agree with Richard Branson on saying YES To everything that comes my way.  I generally prosper on finding businesses that are in alignment with my integrity, beliefs, and most importantly I look for a business opportunity that I can feel comfortable putting my mother in as the late Mark Yarnell used to say.

So I watched a few videos on 5050 Crowdfunding and here are my thoughts.  First of all, I know a bit about crowdfunding as I have donated to multiple Go Fund Me Pages and most recently ran my own Kickstarter Campaign to raise money to make a music album.  They are legit and many people use these types of programs to raise money for all sorts of causes from picking up after a disaster, healthcare, writing a script, to even starting a business.  It’s a great concept and many have succeeded by using crowdfunding.  However, when it comes to making money from a business opportunity tied to crowdfunding – typically there must be a product or service.  And 5050 Crowdfunding doesn’t look like a viable business opportunity for me when you examine further.

With that being said, I will say a few years ago that cash gifting was very popular and that it ultimately proved to be illegal and most of those types of companies got shut down.  Some of the owners even went to jail.  Then a few years ago we saw the rise of Bitcoin Affiliate Progams and most of those have gone out of business or been shut down.  Now we are seeing the rise of crowdfunding online money making programs.  They come off like they are very legit, in fact, their message is pretty impressive – Give, Share, and Receive.

Here is where you enter the GREY ZONE.  When you are talking about crowdfunding as a business opportunity it is sold as though you are making a donation like when you give to a charity.   But when you choose a cause and you give, you are not receiving anything in return except for the validation or feeling that you are making the difference in the life of somebody else, or cause.  Or on the flipside you need to raise money for a cause – recovering from unpaid dr. bills, a new business, or something that you just flat out need money for.  And you are asking for donations.  Anyone can legally basically put up a go fund me page today and start raising money for just about anything.  Now with 5050 you have the option to donate and get paid, but you are only donating because in return you will be receiving something back hopefully (SEE BELOW).

50/50 Crowdfunding Compensation Plan

Gifting payments across all five of 50/50 Crowdfunding’s cycler are as follows:

  • $250 matrix – gift $250 in and receive $750 in gifting payments
  • $500 matrix – gift $500 in and receive $1500 in gifting payments
  • $1000 matrix – gift $1000 in and receive $3000 in gifting payments
  • $2000 matrix – gift $2000 in and receive $6000 in gifting payments
  • $4000 matrix – gift $4000 in and receive $12,000 in gifting payments

Now when you look at the above it looks pretty enticing.  With those types of return on Wall Street, you would be a superstar investor.  The problem with this is that it looks very similar to cash gifting – which has been around since the late 90’s and is very illegal.

What I Like about 50/50

It looks like Easy Money.  Who wouldn’t want to make easy money from the comfort of their own home?  I also like the simplicity of their compensation plan, it’s basically a 2×2 Matrix, if you think you can refer 2 or 3 people you will get paid out fast and with a matrix you are certain to get lots of spillover at least early on (most forced matrix comp plans become too wide for you to get any spillover unless you are at the very top of the tree).

With many online marketing programs, you must learn about the product, comp plan, and develop some skill set to make money.  With this, anyone can get started for $250 (minimum).

Their company owner David T Rosen has experience with cash gifting programs.   This is the 2nd one in the past 12 months that he has launched.  Nothing beats experience regardless of the business you choose to join.

What I dislike about 5050

There is no product here.  Without a real product or service, again you are entering the grey zone and this could potentially get shut down pretty quickly by the government if it proves to be a cash gifting scheme.  Even if you were to join and make a lot of money early on chances are it won’t be around for very long and most of the people who get involved too late will end up losing their hard earned money.  If you get in early and make a lot of money and this does shut down and you make money from it, there is a good chance with clawback laws in play that you could have to return some or all of the money you receive from this program.  So even if you get in early and make thousands or millions of dollars you might want to put that money in a safe place and not spend it just in case the government shows up on your doorstep.

The Founder Has A Track Record Of Short-Lived Cash Gifting Programs.

The Company Owner David T Rosen is on his third cash gifting program that I know of.  As mentioned earlier this is his 2nd Cash Gifting Program in 12 Months. His previous programs are Pie 24/7 and Cooperative Crowdfunding. The previous programs all collapsed and it’s very likely in fact that this one will crash too in due time.  They all do as soon as they run out of donors.

Sure you can make some quick cash with 5050, but it is definitely not a long-term program.

My Recommendation

Find a company that has a rock solid owner with experience in the industry with a highly consumable product that has the ability to earn passive residual income.  Look at the leadership of the company and make sure the company has not only a consumable product but a product that gets people results.  Find a company that is affordable to launch that will provide you with free training, free online marketing tools, and look for people in the company who are on the front lines who have experience, integrity, and a good solid track record.  If you want to build an online business and make cash quickly maybe run with 5050 just know that it may only last a few weeks or a few months.  If you want to build something long-term with a leader who has been in the industry for 10 years and unlike so many who have come and gone is still around steadily building passive residual income and helping others succeed financially from home click here to learn more about one of the fastest growing legitimate opportunities around.

AGL – A Great Life – Shocking Truth – My AGL Review

AGL – A Great Life

I recently came across a new company AGL aka A Great Life that was founded by a good friend of mine and seasoned networking pro Dave Lear who has been involved in the direct sales industry since 1993.  I looked over the company website and learned more about the co-owner Wes Wheeler and how he had years of success running multiple businesses.  But what really caught my attention was the presentation of the website (very professional looking).

I then looked at their product line to see if it was something that would appeal to the masses and learned that they only currently have one product, but it looks to be all natural and appealing to anyone who drinks tea.  And not only is it not your average tea it has all natural ingredients that help you lose weight.  Around the world, 2 billion people will drink tea every morning. *Over 158 million Americans will drink tea on any given day.   Apparently Tea is the 2nd most consumed beverage on the planet following water.   And most of us can stand to lose a few pounds.

Compensation Plan

Finally, the compensation plan really caught my attention as they do a fast start bonus on all orders during the first month and then use a binary cycling pay plan beginning on the 2nd month of orders.

Fast Start Bonuses

The Fast Start Bonus is pretty fantastic as it pays out 3 generations – you get paid on anyone you refer, then you get paid on anyone you refer and they refer up to a total of 3 generations (example lets say you make a sale for $49.95 order = $40 in volume – $20 in commission + $5 in commission to your sponsor + $5 to their sponsor).  So basically this can create some nice solid income that is always rolling up to you as long as you work the business and consistently share with others.

Binary Monthly Pay Plan

The  is a cycling binary pay plan that pays out weekly on all orders beginning in the  the 2nd month of each customer and so forth (re-orders).  It goes something like this you will earn $8 every time you have $40 in volume on your left and $80 on your right or vice versus.  I know that doesn’t sound like much, but you could potentially be cycling multiple times per day or in some cases per hour.  For a pay plan in Multi Level Marketing to be solid on the back end it should be around 6 or 7% of total volume.  Lets just take $120 ($40 + $80) in volume and figure that the percentage for $8 per cycle would roughly be around 6.8% so its pretty fantastic being that many companies won’t even pay you until you get at least $200 or $300 in total volume.

Company Pool Bonuses

The company is also taking its total monthly sales and paying out 1%, 3%, and up to 5% in its global pools.  This can be another very lucrative way for people to make extra money every month.

It’s quite honestly one of the most simplistic compensation plans that I have come across ever  having studied multiple compensation plans.

And if that doesn’t grab you how about to qualify for all commissions your only requirement is that you purchase at least 1 box of product per month $49.95 + Shipping.  Many compensation plans will require you to purchase 3 or 4 boxes of product to qualify for top commissions in any given compensation plan.  They do have an option to order more than 1 box of product at a discount if you prefer to do 3 or 6 boxes per month, but that is not a requirement – just an option.

My overall take on AGL (A Great Life) thus far is that they appear to have all the makings of a great company.  Honest hard working owners who have been in the industry since 1993, a product that is highly consumable product Not Your Average Skinny Tea (weight loss tea).  A compensation plan that is easy to understand and appeals to everyone willing to work their business very part-time, part-time, or full-time. And everyone who joins by paying a one time $20 (Lifetime membership fee) gets access to all the marketing tools they will ever need to share their business (Websites, Email follow up, Squeeze Pages, and a contact manager).

What Is Content Marketing

What Is Content Marketing?

If you have a business and you are trying to attract clients, sales, or you are building your brand online you must consider Content Marketing. What is Content Marketing? Content Marketing is basically posting content on your Social Media Channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc..), or sharing articles like this one, or stories on your blog. It can also involve webinars, podcasts, and giveaways.

The great thing about content marketing is it rarely costs you any money upfront and you can reach a wide audience through your network by sharing your posts and getting others to share as well. Your blog works pretty similar and allows the same ability. The nice thing about blogging is it can create some pretty good SEO (Search Engine Optimization). You can blog by writing or even set up a YouTube Channel and create Videos. I personally, have always had my best success with video, but I enjoy writing as a hobby, so I tend to just like to write more and keep my creative juices flowing.

What is a Content Marketing Strategy

A content marketing strategy involves putting out relevant copy or subject matter to what it is you are marketing. If you’re running an online jewelry store than most all your posts or your content is going to be tailored towards your store. This will not only help engagement, but also help take people through the sales process. As you are consistent in your posting on Social Media Sites (2 to 3 times a week) and blogging a few times per month you will begin to start attracting more and more people to your business. This may seem like a long approach, but in time by consistently planting seeds the harvest will happen.

By creating quality content that is directed towards your targeted audience you will be attracting the right people who have an interest in what is you are selling. People don’t necessarily buy for the best price, they buy from people they like and trust.

As the saying goes, “Facts tell, stories sell”. By doing content marketing you are always telling a story and whether you believe it or not, people are watching you. So become good at telling a story and your business will grow over time.

Types of Content Marketing

As mentioned above you can share posts, you can share pictures, you can share blogs or articles, you can share videos, you can also share E-Books, giveaways, webinars, podcasts, etc. The above is all part of content marketing.

Retargeting Content

One strategy that can work well is finding influencers in your field to share your posts, if you know them you may even seek to tag them to get their attention or ask permission if it would be ok to tag them in a post. You can also share your posts in Facebook Groups that are specific to your industry. We belong to several groups in different industries and are marketing constantly for our clients. The goal with retargeting is to get your content shared beyond your own network.

The Benefits of Content Marketing

It increases traffic. The more content that you produce the more likely it will become visible online. This is why we always tell our clients to be posting at least 2 or 3 times per week on Social Media Sites and blogging at least a few times a month, so that you are always out there.

It can help boost sales. If you are always out there, you’ll have a better chance that people are going to come across your social media channels and website which will naturally lead to more sales. And the best part is for most content marketing it doesn’t cost anything to promote.

It builds strong customer relations. We always like to use quotes, pictures, and sometimes even jokes to make our audience laugh. Have fun with it. If you’re having fun, so will others. Don’t go crazy with just promoting items from your business or store, but use the 80/20 rule where 80% of what you put out there is value based and the other 20% is actual sales oriented material. You don’t want to not ever put out ads or ask for sales through promotions, coupons, etc…But make everything you do enjoyable for your prospects or customers so they have to eventually do business with you or better yet — they want to. People buy from people they like and trust — it’t that simple. So become likeable and share your knowledge and expertise while having fun.

In Closing — The Benefits of Content Marketing

Stand out in the search engines — when you write or create content you will have a much better chance of having people find you in the search engines and this will naturally lead to more business.

Build Your Brand — by being out there you will become an expert in your niche and will be sought out by others.

Build Value — Educate and inform your audience vs. always be selling. Become someone who is valuable in your niche and always focus on giving more value to your customers. The customer experience will never be forgotten good or bad.

Earn Trust — It’s always easier to trust a brand that is out there creating content frequently vs. one that is rarely out there or never out there at all.

The One Thing You Must Have To Succeed Long Term in Network Marketing

After 10 years in network marketing and hitting the top position in at least 3 companies and sponsoring hundreds of people and having downlines of several thousand people. I can honestly look you in the eye and tell you that you have very little chance to succeed long-term in network marketing unless you get this one thing.  It took me 10 years and working in multiple companies to figure it out after having to rebuild my businesses multiple times and going broke a few times. In fact, I was able to get a check from one company for 3 years after I quit working it, and 5 years from another.  But the truth is by the time I got my final checks from both deals the checks were about 10% of what they were when I quit working the business.  That is not long term passive residual income.  It’s amazing I was able to collect a check for 5 years after I quit working it.  I don’t know too many network marketers who could admit to that one.

We all talk about building long-term passive residual income?  But is this possible?  I believe that it is, but only if your company has great products that people would buy without earning a check.  You see, when the downlines that I built prior slowly went downhill and eventually quit paying me.  It wasn’t necessarily because of my people.  It was because most of the people ordering products each and every month were like me – they were simply buying the products so they could earn their commissions.

You see, only about 20% of all people in any network marketing company are earning any money on a monthly basis.  The other 80% aren’t earning any money and when the company charges more for their products than what you can pay for it at the store, guess what? Yep, people go back to where they bought the product before for a fraction of the price.   In many cases the company is selling products you would never buy unless you were in the business (brain fuel, colon cleanser, toxin cleanse, etc).  I never really understood why network marketing companies would charge so much for their products when unlike retail, they have really no advertising or distribution channels, wholesalers, resellers, etc…  Wouldn’t it make more sense that their products should be of better quality and cheaper?  I honestly can say a few years back I actually met with an owner of a company who had a product that was made in China for $6 and then he was reselling to his distributors for $60.  If you understand profit margins, that’s unbelievable ROI (Return on Investment).  In fact, that is almost illegal.  Vegas, doesn’t even get that sort of return on investment.

The reason the prices tend to be much higher than retail in network marketing is that most companies re-ordering is done by the 20% who need to earn commissions.  The other 80% quit ordering eventually and this is why companies have to continually expand internationally as once they exhaust the 80% they have to go look for more 20% to keep the engine running.

So what is the one thing?  It’s really quite simple the goal of a company shouldn’t be to attract millionaire marketers and 20 percenters but to attract 80 percenters.  So how do you do that?  SImple, you don’t build your business model based on churning and burning.  You build your business just like Apple, Ford, Microsoft, and many other great American Companies were built.  You build your company with a focus on making a better product/service than whats in the marketplace.  In other words, you invest, you innovate, and you continually make better products.

Finally, you make your products affordable enough so they compete with whats on the shelf and that is how you keep the 80% and that is the only way you can ever make and keep your money in network marketing and quit working your business eventually one day and not have to worry about your checks dropping every month like what happened to me.  So my advice is to join a company that has great products that are affordable enough that people keep buying them whether they are earning a check or not (The 80%).

This is in my opinion why you will never be able to build a long-term passive residual income with most network marketing companies.
