One of the first things I look at when I take on a new client for online marketing is if they have a way to build an email list on their website. An email list is so important as it does two things, one is it gets someone to enter their information while they are on your website and secondly it allows you to market people who have already been to your website. In marketing, it’s been said that it takes the average person 7 touches before they decide to buy your product or service (7 contacts).
“Email has an ability many channels don’t: creating valuable, personal touches – at scale.” David Newman
Here are a few other good reasons to why you need to build an email list.
An Email List will allow you to measure growth in your business as every email is a future sale.
An Email LIst is one of the few true business assets that you own and can take with you.
With a bigger email list you could spread your message to a larger audience resulting in more sales.
Building an email list leads to more opportunities for your business. Your contacts may not be looking for what you have to offer, but they may have a network of people who will.
Having a bigger email list positions you as an expert in your niche.
As you continue building a bigger list it will make your time more valuable and profitable when putting together newsletters.
If you don’t already have an email list service provider, you’ll need to get one. The top 3 that I recommend are IContact, Mailchimp, and AWeber. Most offer a FREE trial period and a way for you to create a form to insert into your website to begin building your list.

If you have ever started a business or you are thinking about it just remember, it takes time and sometimes or should I say it will usually take longer than you think. One of the greatest lessons that I have learned in business is that you must pace yourself. I hear so many stories of entrepreneurs working crazy hours (sometimes twice as much as a full-time employee) when starting a business and truthfully, it will take an obscene amount of work at times, but what you have got to do is learn to pace yourself. You would never run a marathon at full speed and building a business is a marathon. It’s not so much how fast you finish, but that you actually finish the race as so many don’t. In the tips below I share ways to pace yourself, so you not only don’t burn out, but you won’t quit.
“The hare can get you going, but the tortoise will finish the race.” author unknown
So here are some tips to build your business and help you stay in the race long enough to succeed.
Set monthly, quarterly, and annual goals (write them down, something happens to the subconscious when you write your goals down. Don’t type them, get out a pad and paper and write them down.)
Set daily tasks and always give attention to the most important ones first (80/20 rule).
If your business requires that you prospect or cold call, set aside an hour or two per day to do some calls. Honestly, you’re probably only good for 2 to 3 hours a day of cold calling or following up on leads at the very most.
Always look at your calendar to see who you need to follow up with. Very rarely will anyone do anything without follow up (the fortune is in the follow up as they say).
Exercise regularly (you must take care of your health if you are going to stay in the game. Set aside 30 minutes to an hour per day to walk, hike, surf, hit the gym.)
Eat right (your diet is so important and will give you more energy and focus throughout the day).
Sleep (get plenty of rest, rest is important and you will need it for focus and stamina.)
Pray daily – If you don’t believe in God try and find faith in something other than yourself because that faith is going to keep you going strong when you feel like quitting the race, which will happen a lot more than you think.
Meditate daily. Set aside 15 to 20 minutes per day to meditate, your mind & spirit need to calm themselves. This will gets you in a good vibration and with good feelings, you will repel negativity and connect with better quality people which you need to be successful in business.) If you’re constantly worried, anxious, and rushed those are the type of people you will attract. Learn to be calm cool and collected. It will take practice, but you really want to get this one.
Read. Set aside a few minutes per day to read. I personally like to read first thing in the morning as I notice it helps me stay focus. Discipline yourself to read 10 pages per day.
Set aside a time of day to do emails and social media. I recently took Facebook off of my mobile phone and don’t have my business emails on my mobile phone either. This forces me not to look at Facebook or emails when I’m away from my computer.
Consistent activity. Be consistent and don’t waste time with your activities.
Slow & deliberate – be slow and deliberate in everything you do. If you move too fast you will make costly mistakes and truthfully in business, you are trying to control your losses while increasing your profits.
Hope these tips help you while you build your business, many of these tips aren’t even business related, but will apply to most any business if you plan on being around in 2, 3, or even 5 years. Think of it like charging your phone battery every night before you go to bed. Your body and your mind needs these things and so does your business. I have personally been completely self-employed for 8 of the past 10 years and don’t know too many who are still in the game. I know a few who have hit the big time, but most of the people I know who were self-employed at one time are back at their jobs, bankrupt, or have dropped off the face of the earth.

I heard this guy on the radio the other day say that you need at least 1 Million Dollars to retire comfortably. Now that is pretty vague considering that if you live in Southern California in a 10,000 Square foot Home and your monthly bills require at least $20K per month to keep your head above water. Or what if you live in Des Moines, Iowa and your home is paid for and you don’t have any credit card debt and you’re living on social security and get medical assistance from Medicare.
The above isn’t too far off from my brother and my father. I think I am somewhere in the middle, but my point is that financial freedom is different for everyone. If you want to know if you’re financially free – simply calculate how long you could go without working and still be able to pay all your bills? For most, many are still living paycheck to paycheck and their only hope to retire is to collect social security.
If you’d like to be able to retire one day it will be based on 2 things – your monthly outgo per month – bills (homes, cars, boats, and health insurance) and how much you make (income). It’s pretty simple if your bills are only $1000 per month, it will much easier for you to retire or take much less than someone whose bills are $20,000 per month. For someone who’s bills are only $1000 per month they could live without working for 10 years if they had only $120,000 tucked away. For someone whose monthly bills are $20,000 per month, they would need to have 2,400,000 tucked away to stop working for 10 years.
As you can see retirement will be very different for everyone. For some, it may be just working part-time and living on some savings and for others, it may not even be an option and for a few lucky ones, they will be able to do it with their life savings.
Personally having worked for almost 30 years of my life and raising kids, I know how hard it can be to save money, so I would rather create income streams via investing in stocks, cryptocurrency, digital marketing, and selling Health & Wellness Products online. This doesn’t take a lot of years and can create nice steady income quickly if you know what you are doing. In fact, you can create all the above in only 12 to 18 months if you are smart about it.
Creating wealth beyond being an employee has been one of the most satisfying things for me personaly and fortunately, I have only worked as an employee for a few of the past 10 years. I will say that it hasn’t been easy, but it has been very fulfilling at times. Imagine being able to work a few hours per day and go do the things you love? Take a vacation when you feel like it, not because you get a week or 2 weeks a year of paid time off, drive a luxury vehicle and have it paid for because your investments will pay for it. The above is all possible if you think you can, are resourceful, and have a mentor to show you the way. And the best part is, you become your own boss and create a lifestyle that most only dream about in a very short period of time. It doesn’t mean you don’t work, but trust me it’s always more fulfilling working on your own schedule than someone else’s. In fact, you may like it so much that you may never feel like you need to retire. Being a home-based entrepreneur is like being permanently semi-retired.

It used to be back in the old days if you got involved in network marketing you would need to make a list of 20 or 30 people you knew and then approach them about your new product or service. This will usually only work if you have a good sphere of influence and a network of people who have open mindsets and a disposable income to spend. Once you go through your network you are left with nothing to do or the dreadful thought of having to go out and talk to strangers. Unless you’re a unique individual the idea of cold calling in person or on the phone is pretty disheartening for most of us. My thought process is if I do something and it’s super painful – I’m probably not going to attract the right people to my business. So with that being said here are 3 more online network Marketing Tips You Can Use To Help Your Business. This is a follow up to my last blog 5 Cost Effective Ways To Market Your Business Online.
3 Online Marketing Tips To Help Your Network Marketing Business
In my last blog post I shared 5 things that you can do online to market your business. In todays post, I wanted to share 3 other things you can do. If you have not yet read my other post you can click on it here.
Facebook Groups– Facebook now has over 2 Billion Active Users worldwide and I find this to be the best place out of all The Social Media Networks to get partners for your business. Create a Facebook Group that is relevant to your business. I have created several and one of the most popular ones is Become an MLM Superstar. I think this group has over 3,000 members (mostly people interested in networking who are outside of my personal network). It’s my group so I get to control what gets posted and I can post anytime I want to this group. I usually will use this as a way to advertising my blog vs.spamming links. So if you write an article or your company comes out with a new product this is a great way to share it. If you’d like to join my group on Facebook Click here. It’s also a good idea to join other groups that are relevent to your products/services/industry and share to those groups as well. This is a great way to get your message out there and will help you get more good quality leads.
Boosting Posts – Now you’re going to need a Facebook Business Page to do this, but this can be a very affordable way to get your message out there. It’s very easy to set up and you don’t have to have alot of page likes to use it. You simply post something relevant to your business and boost your post. You can boost it for 7 days for anywhere from $5 to $25 (the choice is yours). I recommend starting with a small budget and look at it every few days to see how you are doing. If you want likes and comments on your post that would be a brand awareness campaign. If you want leads then you need to go with a website link (landing page) and get people to go there.
Solo Ads – are a popular way to reach out to your targeted audience via email without actually having a list of your own. Think of it like renting a list. Someone like myself with a large following of several thousand people can be targeted to for a fee of $30 to $100. Most of these prospects are interested in what you have to offer and you will generally get anywhere from 15 to 25 fresh leads from just one solo ad campaign. The only requirement here is that you hire a reputable marketer to send your email out and you will need to be a decent copywriter or hire one. One of the best sites I have found for solo ads is Udimi. You can get started by clicking here.
I hope all the above helps you grow your network marketing business. Keep in mind that you don’t need to master all the above to have success online, just a few marketing tactics will get you a steady flow of leads without breaking the bank without having to go out and cold call on people.
Let’s be frank! Online marketing is not easy. You’re spending money, time, and energy hoping that something sticks and that you hopefully become the next big thing or you get some ROI on your investment. What works for my business isn’t going to necessarily work for another. You have to be creative, diligent, and always be watching to see what is working and what isn’t.
Not only is there a huge learning curve for beginners, but you have plenty of marketers coming after your wallet claiming to be experts in online marketing. If you decide to go at it alone, it will take you weeks, months, or even years to figure it out. If you hire someone you pray you made the right decision and don’t flush money down the toilet.
Personally, I have been marketing online since 2008 and have worked with many individuals and businesses on their online marketing. I wanted to take some time to share with you 5 of my favorite Cost Effective things you can do to market your business online that won’t waste your time or your hard-earned dollars if done correctly.
5 Cost-Effective Ways To Market Your Business Online
#1. Blogging — Even though blogging can takes months or even years to build up any sort of decent following, writing about things that are relevant to your audience can always increase traffic and in return get you more followers and customers for your business. If you choose to blog there are 2 things you will want to always remember — consistency leads to results and you will need to have patience — lots and lots of it. I personally, write 2 blogs for my business weekly (try to anyway). One is tailored for the solo entrepreneur and home based business professional and the other is tailored towards the small & mid-sized business owner. At times if it makes sense — I may share an article like this that could be relevant to both blogs. I have to admit it is harder than it sounds as you always have to scramble for good content and you need to be somewhat of a decent writer. If writing isn’t your thing you can always hire a freelancer to do it for you, or use an employee.
#2. Video Marketing— If you haven’t already consider setting up a YouTube Channel. This will be one of the best ways to reach out to people in your network and beyond. I really think that SEO (Search Engine Optimization) from Video is 10 times what it is for a website at least in speed. I can create a video and get it optimized in days vs. weeks, months, or years with a website. It’s hands down one of the cheapest and most effective ways to market your business. I have seen my clients including myself add hundreds and even thousands of dollars to their bottom line by simply creating a few videos and getting them to come up on the top of YouTube. I will add that this is a very competitive space, but if you learn how to optimize your videos or have a professional optimize them for you-you will be very pleased with the results. I have had a few videos come up #1 out of hundreds for search terms and this can be very beneficial for your business if done correctly.
#3. Email Marketing — Email marketing may not be what it once was years ago with all of the spam filters these days, but I still think that it is an effective way for you to stay in front of your customers and prospects on a regular basis. Like with blogging you will want to be consistent at least once a month, weekly, or bi-weekly. You will definitely want to sign up for one of the many email services to broadcast your emails (MailChimp, constant contact, Aweber, Icontact, etc.) My personal favorite is Icontact.com, but any one should work and they all cost about the same. Don’t be over the top with your marketing as many people will be turned off if you constantly send out emails. The key to email marketing is good copywriting skills (sales copy) and knowing the best times to send out your emails. If you’re promoting your business, probably not best to send out your emails on a Sunday. It’s also important to always be growing your email list. You want your subscriber base to grow so you have more people (hopefully targeted) to reach out to. One of the ways that we grow our email list is by giving away a free e-book on both of our websites.
#4. Social Media Marketing — If you’re running a business and you are not on at least Facebook (over 3 billion active users are now on Facebook worldwide), you are seriously jeopardizing the future of your business in my opinion. Those businesses that are active in social media will thrive in the future. I feel like a few years ago no one knew where it was really going, but today it shapes our lives from the news, to whats happening now, to sharing photographs of our latest vacation. It’s a phenomenon that is not going away anytime soon. Even if you don’t like it (and many people don’t) get involved if nothing less for your business. Your life depends on oxygen and water to survive. Your business nowadays depends on Social Media. Find one or two social media sites that you feel will best represent your business and be consistent and simply put yourself and your business out there. NO one ever made it big by playing it safe. This is your opportunity to share your business with the entire world and really connect with others in a much more personal way. Think of it like a giant party and you have an opportunity to not only promote your business but to make new friends.
#5 Content Marketing — similar to this site or even linkedin.com which now allows you the ability to publish articles. The great thing about using sites like medium or Linkedin to publish articles is it allows you the ability to share content beyond your social media networks, email, or blogs. A lot of times I will write my blog first on medium than copy and paste it to my blog. Make sure if you do copy & paste that you reference the article on your blog. I have found in the past that some of my best-written articles that got the most attention were not from my blogs, but from my articles that I wrote on these other sites away from my blog.
Well, there are 5 cost-effective ways to market online. I hope this helps you with your online marketing whether you are a newbie or a seasoned pro. Marketing is pretty much everything that happens prior to an exchange of money. If done well, it can make you a fortune, if done poorly it can waste a lot of time & money and in some cases even cost you your business. If you feel like you would rather stay away from marketing and focus more on the things you are good at — always feel free to reach out to myself or another online expert for help on making your business stand out in a noisy overpopulated online world.
Having a daily routine is important not just for your well being, but also for your business. I honestly, never used to have a daily routine or at least wasn’t aware of it until after I read Tim Ferriss’ book, “The 4 Hour Work Week”, it made me think more about how to manage my time. I have never gotten down to 4 hour work week and I doubt that most people do, but many of us waste time on things that really aren’t all that productive. We mistake being busy for being productive – there is a big difference.
I remember years ago my brother was running a telemarketing room and he called me up and said, “Hey you’re not going to believe this, but they ran a marketing study at my company and found out that each of my employees is only really productive for 4 hours per day”. These employees were telemarketing reps for a fortune 500 company and working around 8 to 10 hours per day on average.
You see, most people don’t really have a daily routine and the reasons you want to have one is that when you complete tasks on time and with more efficiency. How would it feel to run your job or business more effectively in less time every day? I believe by creating a daily routine you can do this.
There are many things you may do on a daily basis that has nothing to do with work too. On my calendar, I include prayer & mediation and exercise. These are things I do daily no matter what and they pop up on my calendar every day. In fact, I will rarely let my head hit the pillow without completing my prayer or exercise time.
Here are some benefits to having a daily routine.
You’ll check more things off your to-do list. Running errands, work, going to the gym. When you complete things daily you’ll automatically feel better.
You’ll feel less stress & anxiety. Have you ever noticed how anxiety & stress goes through the roof when you’re not getting anything done? By having a daily routine, you’ll simply accomplish more in less time and feel better about it.
You’ll be able to get more done which will give you more free time to relax or do the things that you enjoy. In fact, its crucial that you take time every day or week to do the things that you enjoy (hobbies, exercise, etc..)
You can create good habits and get rid of bad habits. Maybe you like to spend your free time watching the news and you don’t like the negativity it’s filling your head with, so you simply do the opposite and watch something positive. This will shift your bad habit to a better one.
Having a regular routine or schedule gives you more control over your day and by having more control you’ll begin to discover that life won’t just happen so often. You’ll know pretty much how your day is going to go and you will benefit greatly from it.
You will no longer procrastinate. I put things on my calendar that I need to do and if they don’t get done they get moved to the next day. Sometimes I will just get sick of looking at this thing that is stuck on my calendar that I know needs to get done and I do it. Getting the things off of our to-do list feels great.
These are some reasons of why you should have a daily routine and in my opinion, create a daily task list as well. These tips will not only help you become a better employee, entrepreneur, or business owner but will also allow you to free up more time in your schedule to do more of the things you love.
Succeeding in your home based business probably requires you to make a few phone calls every day – prospecting for business builders, and prospecting for customers or posting on Social Media or writing a blog or article like this one. In today’s blog, I want to share with you 5 things you must do on a daily basis to have success in your home based business. In fact, these 5 things will almost guarantee you success in any business venture if you follow them daily. These 5 things are probably not what you think about, but if you’re not in top physical and spiritual shape you will never be at the top of your game.
The 5 Things You MUST Do Daily To Have Success in Your Home Based Business.
Prayer – if you believe in god or a higher power, I highly advise that you take a few minutes everyday preferably before you start your day and say a simple prayer – give thanks, ask for guidance, pray that god leads you to the right people for your business. Get in the habit of doing this daily and your business will certainly grow over a period of time.
Read – Take a few minutes every day and get in the habit of reading. If you cannot read a book due to time constraints look for articles or quotes. Just take a few minutes every day and read a few pages. Challenge yourself to read 10 pages per day if possible. “Leader are readers.”
Exercise – Take 30 minutes minimum per day at least 3 to 5 days per week and go for a walk, a run, or swimming. Do something everyday to keep you in shape. This will release endorphins that will make your day go so much better, plus it will build your immune system and help you to live a longer more productive life. I personally try and surf at least 2 days per week and go to the gym 2 days per week and go walking or hiking the other 2 days. In other words, Im getting exercise almost daily and it is so important for stamina and energy. I’ve never personally met anyone who was super successful who didn’t exercise on a regular basis.
Diet – Watch what you eat and eat at least 3 meals per day. Learn about nutrition and make sure to get lots of fruits, protein, grains, and vegetables in your diet. It’s almost impossible to get all of our nutritional needs through food alone, so make sure to supplement with vitamins. Also, make sure to drink lots of water. A good rule of thumb on water is to take your body weight and divide it into 2 (thats how many ounces of water you should be drinking per day).
Rest – Studies now show that we all need around 7 to 8 hours of sleep per day. Sleep is important and I know when I get 7 or 8 hours of sleep that I am much more productive throughout the day than when I only sleep 4 or 5 hours. Make it a priority to get sleep and this will always put you at the top of the game when it comes to succeeding in your business.
I didn’t include this in my top 5 things you should do on a daily basis to have success in your home based business, but this should be on it – Meditation. I have found that when I take 15 to 20 minutes per day and meditate that I not only slow down time but that I operate from a more heart-centered place. It connects my spirit to my higher power in such a way that I feel contentment and serenity. If you have never meditated before, but would like to, I highly recommend that you go to youtube and search for guided meditations. This is a great way to kick off your day, every day. Get in the habit of incorporating all 6 of my tips or a few into your daily activities and I can almost guarantee that you that you will not only grow as a person, but your business will grow too.
The Tax Benefits of Starting Your Network Marketing Business
Making money in network marketing may seem difficult in the beginning, but it can be done. Most enter the profession thinking of it the same way as a job – trade your time and get paid by the hour. Keep in mind when you trade your time for dollars you are renting your time and not building any equity in a business or a job. Most people fall into the employee mindset and have a difficult time working for anyone or anything without being paid by the hour. You are also taxed on every dollar you make immediately as an employee whereas a business owner you are taxed on only the money that is left over after all of your expenses. So the quickest way to make money in network marketing is to do it through taxation if you have a job and are already having taxes pulled out of your paycheck. You now have the opportunity to write off everything you use for business – cell phone, business cards, transportation, gas, home office, meals, product, advertising, etc… Get in the habit of keeping all of your receipts and change your filing status with your HR Department at your job and add a few more dependents and you will get an instant pay raise from The Federal Government. This will immediately put a few extra bucks into your pocket every month. I am not an accountant, so if you have one you may want to check with them, but most are familiar with the tax laws in our country and how they usually benefit the self-employed and having a home-based business would put you into this category. One of my first mentors in the network marketing profession who had made millions would require every new person he sponsored to open up a tax file and begin saving all of their receipts. Even if you don’t sponsor anyone, but actually put in the time to build your business and show the government that you are making an attempt to make money you will still benefit greatly from having a home-based business. but actually put in the time to build your business and show the government that you are making an attempt to make money with your business you will still benefit greatly from having a home-based business. My fiance who has been with the same company for 16 years was advised by her own accountant to start a home-based business to help with her tax burden. So whether it be network marketing or landscaping, everyone should have a part-time home based business in my opinion. It just makes perfect sense and will save you money on the money you pay in taxes, plus put a few extra bucks into your pocket each and every month with minimal effort.
If you don’t have a full-time or part-time job like 80% of the people entering our profession than you are either self-employed, retired, or unemployed. Either way, you will still want to keep receipts for everything pertaining to your business. This is by far the quickest way to put money into your pocket in network marketing. All your expenses will go against any of the income you generate with your network marketing business and other income streams.

In closing, it is hard to say anything positive about paying taxes. It always hurts but we all have to do it. The good news is that by joining any network marketing company there are tax deductions that you would not have been able to deduct if you did not have a home-based business.
Always consult with a tax professional. We cannot provide any warranty about the information above.
It’s been said that network marketing is a personal development business disguised with products & services, however, I want to give you a better analogy after being involved in the industry for over a decade. It’s really a sphere of influence business disguised with products and services. I actually, got that from a million dollar earner Ken Dunn who I interviewed on one of my podcasts a few years ago. I never heard anyone ever say it like that, but when he did – it made perfect sense. This explained to me in one sentence why so many struggle just to sponsor a few people into the profession. Another leader who was a mentor to me for a short time says it like this, “How you treat people today and in the past will determine how many people join you in your business”. And that makes sense as I have seen many in my career with zero network marketing experience do well because they have a large network of people that they have built good relationships with over the years. I’ve seen others with tons of experience struggle because they have burnt bridges with their network and are forced to go into the cold market (which can be really rough in the beginning). I must add that I am not against cold marketing, but wouldn’t it be nice if everyone would not want to rush into it so fast.
This doesn’t mean that you cannot do network marketing if you don’t have a large network of people who admire you or like you, but what it does mean is that it will be a longer tougher road for you than it will be for the pastor, PTA Mom, Doctor, or realtor.
One thing I learned years ago from another million dollar income earner who I had the chance to work with on a daily basis for many months was that you need to look for people who are more talented than you. Another term that has been used over and over again in our industry is to, “recruit up”. That simply means you must look for good players and people with bad attitudes, poverty mindset, entitlement mindset are not going to get you to your goals. I’m not saying to turn people away who are less talented, just don’t chase those people. Put your energy into those people who would appear to be strong leaders or people who would appear to stand out in their circles. Those are the people you want to go after. You can build the orphanage later on after you’ve made a lot of money.
One thing I try to do whenever I am prospecting is to find about peoples past achievements – where did they go to school, have they ever owned a business, have they ever done sales, do they think long term or short term, are they in poverty or just broke. I want to know what type of person I am going to be working with as these are people I’m going to be calling a few days a week and locking arms with. I don’t want to lock arms with people who are going to bring me down, so when I go to recruit I am cherry picking those really nice looking cherries and throwing away the rest.
If you want to build a large network marketing organization you won’t be able to do on the backs of those that haven’t had some success in the past or those that have no friends. It’s not impossible, but probably improbable. So go out there and remember that network marketing isn’t just making sales, its building relationships and the better relationships you have and continue to build with the right people, the better your business will do.
If you are like me and would like to make extra income or have multiple streams of income. I don’t think there has been a better time than today to create that for you and your family.
You don’t need a bunch of money to get started and in many cases can begin earning an extra $500, $1000, or even $5000 or more from home each and every month. Below I have listed some of the best ways I have found to make money from home.
Affiliate Marketing – affiliate marketing is taking a product that someone else has created either a how to book, a course, or a product and simply either promoting it online. When you make a sale you make a commission usually 15 to 40%. The best thing about affiliate marketing is you don’t have to invest thousands or lots of hours in time creating the product. You simply find a product you believe in and go out and market it to your email list, social media channels, solo ads, blog, or search engines like Google & Bing and when you make a sale you earn a commission. The downside is if you’re tigh on funds to pay for advertising you will need to have a big email list, a decent social media following, and an established blog to really make money doing this. I have honestly had the best luck doing this with Twitter and Solo Ads. The best place to start with affiliate marketing is Clickbank.com they have thousands of products to choose from and they do offer a bit of training on how to do it.
Network Marketing – You can join a company as a distributor for a small fee of anywhere from $20 to $1000. Network marketing is pretty simple you just sign up with a company like Avon, Amway, or Nuskin and pay a small fee order some products and begin marketing your business to others. When someone orders products you earn commission anyone that you refer you should earn a percentage off of their sales as well. The beauty with network marketing versus affiliate marketing is once you build a network you continue to earn commissions without having to go out and sell all the time. In other words, it should build up over time. There are many great companies out there to choose from, but try and stay away from the companies that require a big upfront fee unless they have been around for at least 2 years or more. Most start-up network marketing companies fail within a few years and you basically have a 90% chance if you join a new company that they won’t be around for very long. You really have to think in terms of a 12 to 18 month period to really make big money in network marketing, so you really want to choose a company that will be around when you build a pretty big network. You also want to find a company where you would buy their products whether or not a business opportunity was attached to it. I’ve met very few people in my lifetime that can sell or market a product they don’t believe in. If you need a great company or product to market – here is one that I recommend http://healthierwealthier.info .
Amazon & eBay Seller
If you don’t want to learn marketing and have a few dollars to invest you might want to look at Amazon or Ebay. With eBay you can start even if you don’t have much money to invest by selling older items in your home (usually recommended starting out). eBay is much easier to get started in as you don’t have the fierce competition as you do with Amazon as its more of an online flea market where as with Amazon, you’ll have to get really good at packing or finding some superb drop-shippers as I think the level of service on Amazon is usually a bit higher or expected to be. Plus it will be tougher to get a good rating on Amazon early on and you will definitely want to have a professional account at all times to be taken seriously on Amazon which will cost you $40 per month + 15% per item, so you’ll want to really get good at estimating your costs after all expenses to see if an item is even worth selling. Becoming profitable on Amazon and Ebay like anything else does take time and knowing what to buy and sell. I’ve personally had some big losses in the past and even invested over $10,000 with a single company to sell on Amazon. If you decide this is the way you want to go, I highly recommend you read some books and articles or take a course so you don’t lose money and make a profit everytime you sell something. You will also need to get really good at customer service (answering emails, phone calls, etc). Finally, if you’re willing to learn a bit, this can be one of the easiest ways to make money online. I’ve personally in my spare time since selling on Ebay since 1999 and Amazon since 2012 made thousands of extra dollars very part-time this way.
If you have a fairly new or reliable vehicle and don’t mind putting a few miles on it than ridesharing may be for you. The nice thing about ridesharing is you don’t need any special skills that may be required to be successful in network marketing and affiliate marketing. You just need to enjoy people and know how to drive a vehicle. You definitely won’t get rich doing this, but you can certainly make a few extra bucks. Many people do it very part-time and some do it full-time. If you don’t have a newer vehicle Uber will allow you to rent a car through their app or lease one with no mile restrictions. I would only consider the latter if I were going to drive more than 25 hours a week. If you’re just going to do a few hours per week than using your own vehicle will make a lot more sense and be way less expensive as you won’t have the additional rental fees (which can run a few hundred per week). There are also sites like hyrecar.com where you can rent a vehicle for pretty cheap if you like. To get started with Uber or lyft the 2 best rideshare companies and begin earning dollars weekly just click on either of the 2 links below. The best part about ridesharing is once you sign up and get your vehicle inspected you start earning money immediately and there are no up-front fees or additional expenses beyond gas, insurance, and regular maintenance which if you own a vehicle you already have anyway.
If you have any special skills like accounting, social media management, graphic design, photography or you know how to play and read music. You can apply any one of those skills to be of service to others or to teach. Simply figure out what your good at and create a blog a few social media sites and begin advertising your service on sites like Craigslist or if you have a few bucks saved up you can use paid ads on Facebook, Twitter, Google, or Bing. Its pretty tough to start a business on word of mouth, so once you figure out what business you want to make money in, you’ll need to get the word out that you have a business and get others to buy into it through marketing.
With the exception of Uber and Amazon & eBay, you will need to get good at marketing to have any reasonable success. Keep in mind marketing is simply what happens before a sale is made. Marketing can include telemarketing (phone), cold calling (in person or on phone), advertising (craigslist, google, etc), blogging, creating brand awareness by using Social Media. You can also use older more tested sources (radio, TV, or Print).
