The One Thing You Must Have To Succeed Long Term in Network Marketing

After 10 years in network marketing and hitting the top position in at least 3 companies and sponsoring hundreds of people and having downlines of several thousand people. I can honestly look you in the eye and tell you that you have very little chance to succeed long-term in network marketing unless you get this one thing.  It took me 10 years and working in multiple companies to figure it out after having to rebuild my businesses multiple times and going broke a few times. In fact, I was able to get a check from one company for 3 years after I quit working it, and 5 years from another.  But the truth is by the time I got my final checks from both deals the checks were about 10% of what they were when I quit working the business.  That is not long term passive residual income.  It’s amazing I was able to collect a check for 5 years after I quit working it.  I don’t know too many network marketers who could admit to that one.

We all talk about building long-term passive residual income?  But is this possible?  I believe that it is, but only if your company has great products that people would buy without earning a check.  You see, when the downlines that I built prior slowly went downhill and eventually quit paying me.  It wasn’t necessarily because of my people.  It was because most of the people ordering products each and every month were like me – they were simply buying the products so they could earn their commissions.

You see, only about 20% of all people in any network marketing company are earning any money on a monthly basis.  The other 80% aren’t earning any money and when the company charges more for their products than what you can pay for it at the store, guess what? Yep, people go back to where they bought the product before for a fraction of the price.   In many cases the company is selling products you would never buy unless you were in the business (brain fuel, colon cleanser, toxin cleanse, etc).  I never really understood why network marketing companies would charge so much for their products when unlike retail, they have really no advertising or distribution channels, wholesalers, resellers, etc…  Wouldn’t it make more sense that their products should be of better quality and cheaper?  I honestly can say a few years back I actually met with an owner of a company who had a product that was made in China for $6 and then he was reselling to his distributors for $60.  If you understand profit margins, that’s unbelievable ROI (Return on Investment).  In fact, that is almost illegal.  Vegas, doesn’t even get that sort of return on investment.

The reason the prices tend to be much higher than retail in network marketing is that most companies re-ordering is done by the 20% who need to earn commissions.  The other 80% quit ordering eventually and this is why companies have to continually expand internationally as once they exhaust the 80% they have to go look for more 20% to keep the engine running.

So what is the one thing?  It’s really quite simple the goal of a company shouldn’t be to attract millionaire marketers and 20 percenters but to attract 80 percenters.  So how do you do that?  SImple, you don’t build your business model based on churning and burning.  You build your business just like Apple, Ford, Microsoft, and many other great American Companies were built.  You build your company with a focus on making a better product/service than whats in the marketplace.  In other words, you invest, you innovate, and you continually make better products.

Finally, you make your products affordable enough so they compete with whats on the shelf and that is how you keep the 80% and that is the only way you can ever make and keep your money in network marketing and quit working your business eventually one day and not have to worry about your checks dropping every month like what happened to me.  So my advice is to join a company that has great products that are affordable enough that people keep buying them whether they are earning a check or not (The 80%).

This is in my opinion why you will never be able to build a long-term passive residual income with most network marketing companies.

Success Tips To Help You Build Your Business and Pace Yourself

If you have ever started a business or you are thinking about it just remember, it takes time and sometimes or should I say it will usually take longer than you think.  One of the greatest lessons that I have learned in business is that you must pace yourself.  I hear so many stories of entrepreneurs working crazy hours (sometimes twice as much as a full-time employee) when starting a business and truthfully, it will take an obscene amount of work at times, but what you have got to do is learn to pace yourself.  You would never run a marathon at full speed and building a business is a marathon.  It’s not so much how fast you finish, but that you actually finish the race as so many don’t.  In the tips below I share ways to pace yourself, so you not only don’t burn out, but you won’t quit.

“The hare can get you going, but the tortoise will finish the race.” author unknown

So here are some tips to build your business and help you stay in the race long enough to succeed.

  1. Set monthly, quarterly, and annual goals (write them down, something happens to the subconscious when you write your goals down.  Don’t type them, get out a pad and paper and write them down.)
  2. Set daily tasks and always give attention to the most important ones first (80/20 rule).
  3. If your business requires that you prospect or cold call, set aside an hour or two per day to do some calls.  Honestly, you’re probably only good for 2 to 3 hours a day of cold calling or following up on leads at the very most.
  4. Always look at your calendar to see who you need to follow up with.  Very rarely will anyone do anything without follow up (the fortune is in the follow up as they say).
  5. Exercise regularly (you must take care of your health if you are going to stay in the game.  Set aside 30 minutes to an hour per day to walk, hike, surf, hit the gym.)
  6. Eat right (your diet is so important and will give you more energy and focus throughout the day).
  7. Sleep (get plenty of rest, rest is important and you will need it for focus and stamina.)
  8. Pray daily – If you don’t believe in God try and find faith in something other than yourself because that faith is going to keep you going strong when you feel like quitting the race, which will happen a lot more than you think.
  9. Meditate daily.  Set aside 15 to 20 minutes per day to meditate, your mind & spirit need to calm themselves.  This will gets you in a good vibration and with good feelings, you will repel negativity and connect with better quality people which you need to be successful in business.)  If you’re constantly worried, anxious, and rushed those are the type of people you will attract.  Learn to be calm cool and collected.  It will take practice, but you really want to get this one.
  10. Read.  Set aside a few minutes per day to read.  I personally like to read first thing in the morning as I notice it helps me stay focus.  Discipline yourself to read 10 pages per day.
  11. Set aside a time of day to do emails and social media.  I recently took Facebook off of my mobile phone and don’t have my business emails on my mobile phone either.  This forces me not to look at Facebook or emails when I’m away from my computer.
  12. Consistent activity.  Be consistent and don’t waste time with your activities.
  13. Slow & deliberate – be slow and deliberate in everything you do.  If you move too fast you will make costly mistakes and truthfully in business, you are trying to control your losses while increasing your profits.

Hope these tips help you while you build your business, many of these tips aren’t even business related, but will apply to most any business if you plan on being around in 2, 3, or even 5 years.  Think of it like charging your phone battery every night before you go to bed.  Your body and your mind needs these things and so does your business.  I have personally been completely self-employed for 8 of the past 10 years and don’t know too many who are still in the game.  I know a few who have hit the big time, but most of the people I know who were self-employed at one time are back at their jobs, bankrupt, or have dropped off the face of the earth.

How To Get Financially Free Quickly

I heard this guy on the radio the other day say that you need at least 1 Million Dollars to retire comfortably.  Now that is pretty vague considering that if you live in Southern California in a 10,000 Square foot Home and your monthly bills require at least $20K per month to keep your head above water.  Or what if you live in Des Moines, Iowa and your home is paid for and you don’t have any credit card debt and you’re living on social security and get medical assistance from Medicare.

The above isn’t too far off from my brother and my father.  I think I am somewhere in the middle, but my point is that financial freedom is different for everyone.  If you want to know if you’re financially free – simply calculate how long you could go without working and still be able to pay all your bills?  For most, many are still living paycheck to paycheck and their only hope to retire is to collect social security.

If you’d like to be able to retire one day it will be based on 2 things – your monthly outgo per month – bills (homes, cars, boats, and health insurance) and how much you make (income).  It’s pretty simple if your bills are only $1000 per month, it will much easier for you to retire or take much less than someone whose bills are $20,000 per month.  For someone who’s bills are only $1000 per month they could live without working for 10 years if they had only $120,000 tucked away.  For someone whose monthly bills are $20,000 per month, they would need to have 2,400,000 tucked away to stop working for 10 years.

As you can see retirement will be very different for everyone.  For some, it may be just working part-time and living on some savings and for others, it may not even be an option and for a few lucky ones, they will be able to do it with their life savings.

Personally having worked for almost 30 years of my life and raising kids, I know how hard it can be to save money, so I would rather create income streams via investing in stocks, cryptocurrency, digital marketing, and selling Health & Wellness Products online.  This doesn’t take a lot of years and can create nice steady income quickly if you know what you are doing.  In fact, you can create all the above in only 12 to 18 months if you are smart about it.

Creating wealth beyond being an employee has been one of the most satisfying things for me personaly and fortunately, I have only worked as an employee for a few of the past 10 years.  I will say that it hasn’t been easy, but it has been very fulfilling at times.  Imagine being able to work a few hours per day and go do the things you love?  Take a vacation when you feel like it, not because you get a week or 2 weeks a year of paid time off, drive a luxury vehicle and have it paid for because your investments will pay for it.  The above is all possible if you think you can, are resourceful, and have a mentor to show you the way.  And the best part is, you become your own boss and create a lifestyle that most only dream about in a very short period of time.  It doesn’t mean you don’t work, but trust me it’s always more fulfilling working on your own schedule than someone else’s.  In fact, you may like it so much that you may never feel like you need to retire.  Being a home-based entrepreneur is like being permanently semi-retired.

3 Online Marketing Tips To Help Your Network Marketing Business

It used to be back in the old days if you got involved in network marketing you would need to make a list of 20 or 30 people you knew and then approach them about your new product or service.  This will usually only work if you have a good sphere of influence and a network of people who have open mindsets and a disposable income to spend.  Once you go through your network you are left with nothing to do or the dreadful thought of having to go out and talk to strangers.  Unless you’re a unique individual the idea of cold calling in person or on the phone is pretty disheartening for most of us.  My thought process is if I do something and it’s super painful – I’m probably not going to attract the right people to my business.  So with that being said here are 3 more online network Marketing Tips You Can Use To Help Your Business.  This is a follow up to my last blog 5 Cost Effective Ways To Market Your Business Online.

3 Online Marketing Tips To Help Your Network Marketing Business

In my last blog post I shared 5 things that you can do online to market your business.  In todays post, I wanted to share 3 other things you can do.  If you have not yet read my other post you can click on it here.

  1. Facebook Groups– Facebook now has over 2 Billion Active Users worldwide and I find this to be the best place out of all The Social Media Networks to get partners for your business.  Create a Facebook Group that is relevant to your business.  I have created several and one of the most popular ones is Become an MLM Superstar.  I think this group has over 3,000 members (mostly people interested in networking who are outside of my personal network).  It’s my group so I get to control what gets posted and I can post anytime I want to this group.  I usually will use this as a way to advertising my blog vs.spamming links.   So if you write an article or your company comes out with a new product this is a great way to share it.  If you’d like to join my group on Facebook Click here.   It’s also a good idea to join other groups that are relevent to your products/services/industry and share to those groups as well.  This is a great way to get your message out there and will help you get more good quality leads.
  2. Boosting Posts – Now you’re going to need a Facebook Business Page to do this, but this can be a very affordable way to get your message out there.  It’s very easy to set up and you don’t have to have alot of page likes to use it.  You simply post something relevant to your business and boost your post.  You can boost it for 7 days for anywhere from $5 to $25 (the choice is yours).  I recommend starting with a small budget and look at it every few days to see how you are doing.  If you want likes and comments on your post that would be a brand awareness campaign.  If you want leads then you need to go with a website link (landing page) and get people to go there.
  3. Solo Ads – are a popular way to reach out to your targeted audience via email without actually having a list of your own.  Think of it like renting a list.  Someone like myself with a large following of several thousand people can be targeted to for a fee of $30 to $100.  Most of these prospects are interested in what you have to offer and you will generally get anywhere from 15 to 25 fresh leads from just one solo ad campaign.  The only requirement here is that you hire a reputable marketer to send your email out and you will need to be a decent copywriter or hire one.  One of the best sites I have found for solo ads is Udimi. You can get started by clicking here.

I hope all the above helps you grow your network marketing business.  Keep in mind that you don’t need to master all the above to have success online, just a few marketing tactics will get you a steady flow of leads without breaking the bank without having to go out and cold call on people.

The Tax Benefits of Starting Your Network Marketing Business

The Tax Benefits of Starting Your Network Marketing Business

Making money in network marketing may seem difficult in the beginning, but it can be done.  Most enter the profession thinking of it the same way as a job – trade your time and get paid by the hour.  Keep in mind when you trade your time for dollars you are renting your time and not building any equity in a business or a job.  Most people fall into the employee mindset and have a difficult time working for anyone or anything without being paid by the hour.  You are also taxed on every dollar you make immediately as an employee whereas a business owner you are taxed on only the money that is left over after all of your expenses.  So the quickest way to make money in network marketing is to do it through taxation if you have a job and are already having taxes pulled out of your paycheck.  You now have the opportunity to write off everything you use for business – cell phone, business cards, transportation, gas, home office, meals, product, advertising, etc…  Get in the habit of keeping all of your receipts and change your filing status with your HR Department at your job and add a few more dependents and you will get an instant pay raise from The Federal Government.  This will immediately put a few extra bucks into your pocket every month.  I am not an accountant, so if you have one you may want to check with them, but most are familiar with the tax laws in our country and how they usually benefit the self-employed and having a home-based business would put you into this category.  One of my first mentors in the network marketing profession who had made millions would require every new person he sponsored to open up a tax file and begin saving all of their receipts.  Even if you don’t sponsor anyone, but actually put in the time to build your business and show the government that you are making an attempt to make money you will still benefit greatly from having a home-based business.  but actually put in the time to build your business and show the government that you are making an attempt to make money with your business you will still benefit greatly from having a home-based business.  My fiance who has been with the same company for 16 years was advised by her own accountant to start a

My fiance who has been with the same company for 16 years was advised by her own accountant to start a home-based business to help with her tax burden.  So whether it be network marketing or landscaping, everyone should have a part-time home based business in my opinion.  It just makes perfect sense and will save you money on the money you pay in taxes, plus put a few extra bucks into your pocket each and every month with minimal effort.

If you don’t have a full-time or part-time job like 80% of the people entering our profession than you are either self-employed, retired, or unemployed.  Either way, you will still want to keep receipts for everything pertaining to your business.  This is by far the quickest way to put money into your pocket in network marketing.  All your expenses will go against any of the income you generate with your network marketing business and other income streams.

To learn more about the tax benefits of network marketing click here to watch an overview by Sandy Botkin CPA a seasoned tax accountant, former legal specialist with The Internal Revenue Service, and author of The Best Selling Book, “Lower Your Taxes BIG TIME”.

In closing, it is hard to say anything positive about paying taxes. It always hurts but we all have to do it. The good news is that by joining any network marketing company there are tax deductions that you would not have been able to deduct if you did not have a home-based business.

Always consult with a tax professional. We cannot provide any warranty about the information above.

Recruiting Up For Success in Network Marketing!

It’s been said that network marketing is a personal development business disguised with products & services, however, I want to give you a better analogy after being involved in the industry for over a decade.  It’s really a sphere of influence business disguised with products and services.  I actually, got that from a million dollar earner Ken Dunn who I interviewed on one of my podcasts a few years ago.  I never heard anyone ever say it like that, but when he did – it made perfect sense.  This explained to me in one sentence why so many struggle just to sponsor a few people into the profession.  Another leader who was a mentor to me for a short time says it like this, “How you treat people today and in the past will determine how many people join you in your business”.  And that makes sense as I have seen many in my career with zero network marketing experience do well because they have a large network of people that they have built good relationships with over the years.  I’ve seen others with tons of experience struggle because they have burnt bridges with their network and are forced to go into the cold market (which can be really rough in the beginning).  I must add that I am not against cold marketing, but wouldn’t it be nice if everyone would not want to rush into it so fast.

This doesn’t mean that you cannot do network marketing if you don’t have a large network of people who admire you or like you, but what it does mean is that it will be a longer tougher road for you than it will be for the pastor, PTA Mom, Doctor, or realtor.

One thing I learned years ago from another million dollar income earner who I had the chance to work with on a daily basis for many months was that you need to look for people who are more talented than you.  Another term that has been used over and over again in our industry is to, “recruit up”.   That simply means you must look for good players and people with bad attitudes, poverty mindset, entitlement mindset are not going to get you to your goals.  I’m not saying to turn people away who are less talented, just don’t chase those people.  Put your energy into those people who would appear to be strong leaders or people who would appear to stand out in their circles.  Those are the people you want to go after.  You can build the orphanage later on after you’ve made a lot of money.

One thing I try to do whenever I am prospecting is to find about peoples past achievements – where did they go to school, have they ever owned a business, have they ever done sales, do they think long term or short term, are they in poverty or just broke.  I want to know what type of person I am going to be working with as these are people I’m going to be calling a few days a week and locking arms with.  I don’t want to lock arms with people who are going to bring me down, so when I go to recruit I am cherry picking those really nice looking cherries and throwing away the rest.

If you want to build a large network marketing organization you won’t be able to do on the backs of those that haven’t had some success in the past or those that have no friends.  It’s not impossible, but probably improbable.  So go out there and remember that network marketing isn’t just making sales, its building relationships and the better relationships you have and continue to build with the right people, the better your business will do.

Best Ways To Make Money From Home

If you are like me and would like to make extra income or have multiple streams of income.  I don’t think there has been a better time than today to create that for you and your family.

You don’t need a bunch of money to get started and in many cases can begin earning an extra $500, $1000, or even $5000 or more from home each and every month.  Below I have listed some of the best ways I have found to make money from home.

Affiliate Marketing – affiliate marketing is taking a product that someone else has created either a how to book, a course, or a product and simply either promoting it online.  When you make a sale you make a commission usually 15 to 40%.  The best thing about affiliate marketing is you don’t have to invest thousands or lots of hours in time creating the product.  You simply find a product you believe in and go out and market it to your email list, social media channels, solo ads, blog, or search engines like Google & Bing and when you make a sale you earn a commission.  The downside is if you’re tigh on funds to pay for advertising you will need to have a big email list, a decent social media following, and an established blog to really make money doing this.  I have honestly had the best luck doing this with Twitter and Solo Ads.  The best place to start with affiliate marketing is Clickbank.com they have thousands of products to choose from and they do offer a bit of training on how to do it.

Network Marketing – You can join a company as a distributor for a small fee of anywhere from $20 to $1000.  Network marketing is pretty simple you just sign up with a company like Avon, Amway, or Nuskin and pay a small fee order some products and begin marketing your business to others.  When someone orders products you earn commission anyone that you refer you should earn a percentage off of their sales as well.  The beauty with network marketing versus affiliate marketing is once you build a network you continue to earn commissions without having to go out and sell all the time.  In other words, it should build up over time.  There are many great companies out there to choose from, but try and stay away from the companies that require a big upfront fee unless they have been around for at least 2 years or more.  Most start-up network marketing companies fail within a few years and you basically have a 90% chance if you join a new company that they won’t be around for very long.  You really have to think in terms of a 12 to 18 month period to really make big money in network marketing, so you really want to choose a company that will be around when you build a pretty big network.  You also want to find a company where you would buy their products whether or not a business opportunity was attached to it.  I’ve met very few people in my lifetime that can sell or market a product they don’t believe in.  If you need a great company or product to market – here is one that I recommend http://healthierwealthier.info .

Amazon & eBay Seller

If you don’t want to learn marketing and have a few dollars to invest you might want to look at Amazon or Ebay.  With eBay you can start even if you don’t have much money to invest by selling older items in your home (usually recommended starting out).  eBay is much easier to get started in as you don’t have the fierce competition as you do with Amazon as its more of an online flea market where as with Amazon, you’ll have to get really good at packing or finding some superb drop-shippers as I think the level of service on Amazon is usually a bit higher or expected to be.  Plus it will be tougher to get a good rating on Amazon early on and you will definitely want to have a professional account at all times to be taken seriously on Amazon which will cost you $40 per month + 15% per item, so you’ll want to really get good at estimating your costs after all expenses to see if an item is even worth selling.  Becoming profitable on Amazon and Ebay like anything else does take time and knowing what to buy and sell.  I’ve personally had some big losses in the past and even invested over $10,000 with a single company to sell on Amazon.  If you decide this is the way you want to go, I highly recommend you read some books and articles or take a course so you don’t lose money and make a profit everytime you sell something.  You will also need to get really good at customer service (answering emails, phone calls, etc).  Finally, if you’re willing to learn a bit, this can be one of the easiest ways to make money online.  I’ve personally in my spare time since selling on Ebay since 1999  and Amazon since 2012 made thousands of extra dollars very part-time this way.

Ridesharing

If you have a fairly new or reliable vehicle and don’t mind putting a few miles on it than ridesharing may be for you.  The nice thing about ridesharing is you don’t need any special skills that may be required to be successful in network marketing and affiliate marketing.  You just need to enjoy people and know how to drive a vehicle.  You definitely won’t get rich doing this, but you can certainly make a few extra bucks.  Many people do it very part-time and some do it full-time.  If you don’t have a newer vehicle Uber will allow you to rent a car through their app or lease one with no mile restrictions.  I would only consider the latter if I were going to drive more than 25 hours a week.  If you’re just going to do a few hours per week than using your own vehicle will make a lot more sense and be way less expensive as you won’t have the additional rental fees (which can run a few hundred per week).  There are also sites like hyrecar.com where you can rent a vehicle for pretty cheap if you like.  To get started with Uber or lyft the 2 best rideshare companies and begin earning dollars weekly just click on either of the 2 links below.  The best part about ridesharing is once you sign up and get your vehicle inspected you start earning money immediately and there are no up-front fees or additional expenses beyond gas, insurance, and regular maintenance which if you own a vehicle you already have anyway.

Start your own Home Based Business

If you have any special skills like accounting, social media management, graphic design, photography or you know how to play and read music.  You can apply any one of those skills to be of service to others or to teach.  Simply figure out what your good at and create a blog a few social media sites and begin advertising your service on sites like Craigslist or if you have a few bucks saved up you can use paid ads on Facebook, Twitter, Google, or Bing.  Its pretty tough to start a business on word of mouth, so once you figure out what business you want to make money in, you’ll need to get the word out that you have a business and get others to buy into it through marketing.

With the exception of Uber and Amazon & eBay, you will need to get good at marketing to have any reasonable success.  Keep in mind marketing is simply what happens before a sale is made.  Marketing can include telemarketing (phone), cold calling (in person or on phone), advertising (craigslist, google, etc), blogging, creating brand awareness by using Social Media.  You can also use older more tested sources (radio, TV, or Print).

Why Quality Of Your Product & Price Matters When It Comes To Network Marketing

I have been around the network marketing industry since I joined my first company Pre-Paid Legal back in 2000.  I have seen some great products and services being sold by word of mouth marketing over the years.  Who can argue that Amway, Avon, Legal Shield (formerly pre-paid legal), or Shaklee are not great companies with great products or services?  I’ve personally used products over the years where I never even became a distributor and was just a customer Juice Plus, Send Out Cards, and Nerium to name a few.

What I love about network marketing is it allows people to purchase products that in most cases are better quality than what they would get on the shelf in a store.  Mainly because of the distribution model being word of mouth the companies typically pay out around 50% of all income to their distributors instead of going retail and paying out nearly 80% to advertising agencies, wholesalers, resellers, and so on.  It also allows individuals with no experience or limited experience in business to create additional income with a very small investment. Unfortunately, certain companies out there don’t have that great of a product.  I still remember a few years ago sitting on a phone call with a company owner who was bragging how he was getting his product from China for $6 and selling it through his network marketing business for $60.   This is where I have a love hate relationship with the business as most businesses are built on a product or service first and a distribution channel later. In many cases in network marketing, the business is built on a compensation plan first than a product secondly.  In fact, I’m shocked that after what happened with Veema (being shut down by the FTC), and all of Herbalife’s problems in recent years that anyone would even consider starting a network marketing company without focusing on a product or service first.

You see, for a company to be successful in the long-term it cannot be built entirely by just recruiting people who are going to join the business and pay out commissions.  It must have products and services available to the general public that people would buy without a business opportunity attached to it.  And this is where it gets tricky.  Because as a network marketing begins the word of mouth is usually spread by distributors recruiting distributors.  After awhile if the products and services are good and priced right many distributors who originally got into the business to make money will just become loyal customers and the word of mouth will travel and over time there will be many customers and that is where you want to be.  In fact, if you just build a business model on recruiting distributors and have no customer base your business and company is doomed over a period of time – it will eventually fall apart like a deck of cards.  That company I talked about earlier where the owner was buying his product in China for $6 and reselling it to his distributors for $60 is no longer in business today.

Why are price and quality important?  If you put a product in the marketplace that isn’t priced accordingly then – it better make a person fly, because if people see they can buy a similar product that’s just as good elsewhere for a lesser price – you’re going to lose a customer. It’s as simple as that.  And I still believe today that most products I come across in network marketing are of good quality, but many still don’t understand that consumers won’t pay double or triple for a product they can buy elsewhere.

So if you decide you want to join a network marketing company before you begin marketing it do some homework on the products to see if they are priced accordingly, good quality, and something you would personally buy whether or not you joined the business to make money or not. Keep in mind in network marketing you are building a business for you and your family that could potentially pay you residual income for years to come.  Don’t make the same mistake I have in the past by joining a company just because you can make money quickly – that usually doesn’t last.  Ask yourself, if this company will still be around in 3 to 5 years?  Is this a business that I could put my mom or relatives in and sleep straight at night.  If the answer to the above is YES, than you may have found your company.

If you are looking for a company that has better products, is priced right and can potentially add an additional $100, $500, or even $5000 or more per month to your families budget than definitely click on the link below.

How to do a 3 Way Call for Network Marketing

If you are involved in network marketing or thinking about it.  One of the best ways to build your business is by putting your prospects on a 3 way call with a leader in your organization.  In fact, I suggest that you have at least 3 or 4 leaders in your organization in your phone on auto dial, so you can plug into these folks when you need them.  If you’re new to network marketing you will want to practice using the feature on your phone.  You can google, how to do a 3 way call on your phone.  It’s pretty easy to do.

When is the best time to use a 3 way call

You should use a 3-way call after your prospect has seen a presentation either live or online and this tool should be used for 2 reasons, one is to get all of your prospects questions answered and to enroll your prospects into the business.  There will be those times where someone will just watch a presentation and will sign up for your business without a 3 way call, but in most cases, many will have questions before joining your business.  That is when you need to put them on the phone with your leader.  Don’t say too much at this point except, something like “That’s a great question, I’ve got my business partner on the other line and he has a lot more experience than I am.  Let me see if he is available.”  Then you simply dial up your leader and see if they are available.  If they are not available, call another leader until you find someone who is.  This is where you will use edification after you get your leader on the phone, “This is Bob, he has been with our company for 5 years and is having lots of success with it”.  After you introduce your leader, you don’t say anything, put your phone on mute and let them do most of the talking.

Why don’t I want to explain my business

The reason you don’t want to vomit information on your prospects is because you want a couple of things to happen.  You want them to say to themselves that I can do that and see  that they will not be alone in building their business.  A good leader won’t even vomit with information on your prospects unless they have watched a presentation.  You don’t want to probably even mention the company until they have agreed to watch a presentation unless they pressure you to tell them.  Keep it short and sweet and get them to a presentation and then use the 3 way call and you will find yourself succeeding much more in your business versus going after it alone.  Sometimes your leader will even enroll your people for you, but I think its best to use them as much as you can and not become too dependent on them.  Even when you get the business down to where you can walk and talk it, remember to always take your people to another leader for a 3 way.  Never over explain in this business or you will talk yourself out of sponsoring your next would be superstar.

Network Marketing Success Tip – How to build a decent sized downline in 90 Days or less…

Have you ever joined a network marketing business and waited until you got your products and kept making excuses until you made your list or got to work?  I know I have, I can remember times where I spent days or even weeks just working on my office or waiting until my business cards arrived or until I got my new products in the mail before I did anything with my business.  Some people I have come across over the years spend 90% of their time just doing that and not much more.  And you wonder why so many people are not successful with network marketing.  Some people I have come across over the years spend 90% of their time just attending events or training calls.  That’s valuable, but unless you get into action you will probably never see your business grow past an auto ship order and a tax write off.  If you want to make income in MLM whether it be a few thousand or several thousand a month you must sponsor a lot of people and continue to do so over and over again until you get a decent sized team together.  Once you get a good team going your activity will shift to get into the trenches and work with your people.  3-way calls, presentations, etc…

This article isn’t really written for the team leader with a large team, but more for the person just getting started in network marketing or the individual who is struggling.  I want to give you some valuable tips to build your business fast without being an internet guru.  Besides the internet rarely works building a large team if you don’t know how to connect with others offline.

So below I have given you some action tips that should really help you get up and running. But before I leave these tips keep in mind that you really only get paid to do two things in network marketing – recruit customers, and to recruit distributors.  Once you realize that -you can spend 80% of your time on that activity and the other 20% working with your team and on-going training.  I call it the 80/20 rule and you won’t move from that until you have a team of at least 50 or 60 people who are active and calling you for 3 ways or support.

Activity Tips to Explode your Network Marketing Business in 90 Days!

  1. Make a list of 20 people who know you and like you and call them and tell them what you are up to.  Don’t worry about the outcome just call them and announce to them that you are a distributor with this great company and wanted to share your products and opportunity with them. You might get a response like, isn’t this that pyramid thing?  You’re going to answer, “I don’t know about that, but I plan on taking my family to go see the pyramids after I build this business.”
  2. Once you go through your 20 then you will want to cold call.  You need to make a goal of how many calls you can make per day.  If you work full-time it may only be 5 or 10 calls per day.  If you’re scared of the phone you will need to get over it eventually, but you can reach out to 5 or 10 people per day on Facebook via Facebook Messenger.  If you need tips on how to do this you can fill out my form on this website and get my free E-book to help you get going.
  3. Always be adding to your network and make sure you have business cards on you at all times.  As you continue to expand your network there will be more and more opportunity to share your opportunity.  If you don’t get out of the house much then you may want to look up professionals in your area and email them until you get good posture on the phone.   You can do this through Facebook or LinkedIn by doing a search.  Only do this a few times per day.  I have an entire blog post on how to do this activity click here to read (read after you get through this post).
  4. Set a day and time that you are going to do your business and stick to it.  If you have a full-time job then you might only be able to work in the evenings (The best time to reach people anyways).   You will do only prospecting from 6PM to 8PM Monday – Friday and attend 1 training call per week.  That’s about 10 to 12 hours per week and very doable for most people.  You can generally reach around 10 to 15 people per day if you put the blinders on.
  5. Once you get someone who says they would like more information than you simply invite them to look at your opportunity – online, offline, wherever.  Most presentations take around 30 minutes.  Once they agree to watch your company presentation schedule a time to follow up and ask them one question, “What did you like best”?  Then wait for their response (first person to speak always loses).  Remember, you don’t care about the outcome.  If they are interested then you simply call your upline immediately and get them on a 3-way call or schedule a time to do this (please make sure you know how to do a 3-way call on your phone).  You’re off the hook at this point.  Let your upline enroll your downline and breath.

There is more that you can do once you start making money like advertising and purchasing leads, but these tips should keep you busy for a few months and get you a decent sized downline in 90 days.  The keyis to be busy every day and keep moving.  When you run out of people to talk to turn to Facebook or LinkedIn and just keep going and you will be successful.  If you feel like you need some coaching or just a mentor for a month or two to get you going feel free to email me at john@johnlowery.biz for a free 30-minute consultation.  I have coached many successful networkers over the years and know what it takes to build a large team.
